The Lojong Mind Training Slogans

A Live Online Session with Lama Rod Owens

Wednesday, April 6th 2022 from 7:00-8:30pm ET

Lojong, or mind-training, is a set of Buddhist teachings for transforming our mind by turning away from self-centeredness and cultivating mental habits that generate bodhicitta.

The fifty-nine pithy lojong slogans and their associated practices help us open our hearts and awaken our minds. They help us transcend our egotism and put down the baggage we are carrying.

We become more aware of how self-centered our worldview can be and practice to have a broader vision, a vision of gentleness and fearless compassion.

Our practice in ordinary life is based on learning these slogans and being able to remember them when we need them. If we study them diligently, we will find them coming into our minds when we need them.

In this free online talk for past Love and Rage Course participants, Lama Rod Owens will introduce the lojong teachings and discuss how they can inspire us to live with more compassion beyond our projections and expectations. We will also discuss Lama Rod's upcoming 8 week online course course, Consuming the World, beginning next Monday, April 11th, 2022.
